Many years ago I had an on going discussion with a very learned man. This discussion revolved around the supposed life of one Jesus of Nazareth. This man (a prominent Psychiatrist or Psychologist, I really can’t remember which) would tell me of his years of research looking into the life of Jesus Christ. His conclusion (which amounted to a small novel) stated that in truth there was no such person. He concluded that there were similar people that had similar experiences around the same time and whose lives were somehow gathered into a Mythical Personality that became Jesus of Nazareth. I don’t want to make this man seem as though he was ignorant, arrogant, or evil, because such is not the truth. He was a loving and compassionate Dr. who worked with and helped many people from many walks of life. He was in fact the son of a Minister, who for his entire life believed in Jesus. When he got older he began questioning the existence of Jesus, which eventually led him to his research and its subsequent findings. At the time I belonged to the Internet Service Provider known as Prodigy. Our discussions went on for months and would really get to me sometimes (he told me that I really got to him sometimes as well). Our forum was such that others would communicate with us in the form of comments that could be seen by others when they came to our particular topic page, and some would communicate with me involving our discussions by emails that I would receive privately. Even though this Topic and Forum really got to me sometimes (like I said earlier), still it also was invigorating and illuminating beyond words. I learned much about others and myself, by seeing and discussing our varied viewpoints. I would like to do the same here on this site.
I personally don’t believe that you can discuss this New Age or Era (If you prefer) that we are entering without thinking in some way about Jesus Christ. Main Stream Christianity tells us that this New Age we are entering is ushered in by the reappearance of Jesus Christ, who after the cataclysmic end of things returns to earth to establish a new form of government a new order of which he is the head. The world which follows his return will be one of Peace and Brotherhood that will last for One Thousand Years, at which time Satan will again be released upon earth to see what path the hearts and minds of man will follow.
What I would like, is for those of you who have any thoughts regarding Jesus Christ, (who he was, who he is, what he did, what he does, what does he mean to you, what does he mean to us, what role if any does he play in the overall scheme of things?) to send them to me. I will post some of the comments or statements that you make on a page that I’ll link to this one (in some cases my response or opinion regarding your comments will follow). If you want I will leave your statement nameless, or give your name or if you want your name and a Web Site or Email address where you can be reached regarding your comment. If I get a large enough response I will do what I can to make this site in such a way that we can all see what each other says and respond to it in an open forum.
